For a major insurer: a microservice architecture, APIs, automated tests and continuous deployment on Azure.
The context
A business application where policy managers declare and manage insurance policies, plus batch processes that still relied on Excel files.
What we did
- A microservice architecture: the boundaries, the domain models and the exchanges between services, documented for future evolution.
- Versioned REST APIs, with shared validation and error-handling rules.
- CI/CD pipelines and a unit, integration and end-to-end testing strategy.
- Security (authentication, authorisation, data protection) and observability in production.
- Angular screens designed with the UX/UI teams.
- A Blazor application in place of a process kept in Excel, and modernised legacy code.
- Services deployed on Azure: Functions, Synapse, Key Vault, Logic Apps and Databricks.
